Who we are
Verdani Capital is the trading name used on this website by the following companies, registered in England and Wales:
- Verdani Capital Two Limited, company number 13658177 (primary acquisition vehicle)
- Verdani Services Limited, company number 11718358 (operational support entity)
Our address is Southbridge House, Southbridge Place, Croydon, Surrey, CR0 4HA. For this notice, “we”, “us” and “our” mean these companies. We are the controller of the personal data described here.
For anything to do with your personal data, email info@verdanicapital.co.uk and mark your message “Data protection”.
What we collect and why
Enquiry forms. When you send us an enquiry, we collect your name, company, email address, phone number, what you are interested in (for example selling, investing or growing by acquisition), your sector, your revenue band, your message, and the page you sent it from. We use this to reply to you and to have the conversation you asked for.
WhatsApp messages. If you choose to contact us on WhatsApp, we receive your phone number, your WhatsApp profile name and the messages you send. We use these only to reply to you.
Analytics data. Where analytics are enabled, we collect information about how visitors use the site, such as pages viewed, time on page, device type, approximate location and how you arrived. We use this to understand which pages help people and to improve the site. It is not used to identify you personally.
Phone and email. If you call or email us, we keep a record of the conversation so we can follow up.
Our lawful basis
We rely on legitimate interests to respond to enquiries, to hold early conversations about buying, selling or investing in businesses, and to run our business. We have weighed these interests against your rights and believe they are balanced, because you contacted us and expect a reply.
We rely on your consent for analytics cookies. You can withdraw consent at any time.
If a conversation moves towards a transaction, we may also process data to take steps towards entering into a contract with you, and to meet our legal obligations.
How enquiries are handled
- Enquiries from this website are delivered to our team by email through Resend, a transactional email provider.
- We send you an automatic email confirming we have received your enquiry.
- Your enquiry may be recorded in our customer relationship management (CRM) system so we can follow up.
- We may send a short notification of a new enquiry to our team on WhatsApp.
- We never sell your personal data, and we do not use it for unrelated marketing.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries for up to 24 months, unless a deal conversation continues, in which case we keep them for as long as that conversation and any resulting transaction require. If you send us accounts or other financial information for a valuation, we will delete them on request.
Who we share it with
We share personal data only where we need to:
- Professional advisers. In a live transaction, our solicitors, accountants and other advisers, all under a duty of confidentiality.
- Service providers who process data on our behalf: website hosting (Vercel), email delivery (Resend), analytics (Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity, where enabled), and WhatsApp (Meta) if you message us there.
- Authorities. Where the law requires us to, for example to a regulator or court.
International transfers
Some of our service providers may process data outside the UK, including in the United States. Where they do, the transfer is protected by safeguards approved under UK data protection law, such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement, the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, or the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
Cookies
By default this site uses only the cookies it needs to work. Analytics cookies (Google Analytics and, where enabled, Microsoft Clarity) are set only if you accept them in the cookie notice. You can change your choice at any time using the Cookie settings link at the foot of every page. Your cookie choice and your light or dark display choice are stored in your browser so the site remembers them. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time. Blocking essential cookies may stop parts of the site working properly.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you (access)
- ask us to correct data that is wrong or incomplete (rectification)
- ask us to delete your data (erasure)
- ask us to limit how we use your data (restriction)
- object to us using your data on the basis of legitimate interests (objection)
- ask us to transfer data you gave us to another organisation (portability)
- withdraw consent at any time, where we rely on consent
To use any of these rights, email info@verdanicapital.co.uk. We will reply within one month. There is no charge in most cases.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
Confidentiality of business information
Everything you send us about your business is treated as confidential, whether or not a non-disclosure agreement is in place. That includes accounts, customer and staff details, and the fact that you are considering a sale. We share it only with the people who need it to assess a deal, and only under confidentiality.
Changes to this notice
We may update this notice from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed. If we make a significant change, we will make it clear on this page.
